Stop Over-Explaining:

Learn To State Your Needs Without Starting A Fight

A workshop on boundaries

Do you find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no?

Do you avoid hard conversations because you don’t want to upset anyone, start an argument, or come across as “too much”?

Maybe you rehearse what you want to say in your head for days… then either say nothing at all, explode because you’ve held it in too long, or over-explain yourself so much that your boundary gets lost.

This workshop is for you if you’re tired of feeling resentful, walked over, guilty, misunderstood, or like your needs always come last. Because boundaries aren’t about being harsh. And communication isn’t about winning an argument. It’s about learning how to say what you need clearly, calmly and honestly without abandoning yourself in the process.

In this workshop, we’ll look at how different communication styles can either create more conflict or help you feel more heard, and you’ll practice simple ways to express your needs without shutting down, snapping, people-pleasing or starting an argument.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• communicate your needs without over-explaining or apologizing for them

• show up as the person you want to be - calm, clear and understood

• use different communication styles depending on the situation

• practice setting boundaries in a way that feels doable

• find out how to respond to other boundaries in the way you desire

You’ll leave with practical language you can actually use in real life with partners, family, friends, workmates or anyone you’ve been struggling to speak honestly with. This is not about becoming cold, rude or aggressive. It’s about learning how to stop swallowing your needs just to keep the peace.
